Bumpers
Section titled “Bumpers”The E46 bumper covers are painted plastic. Pre-facelift and facelift bumpers have different designs and are not directly interchangeable.
Front Bumper Options
Section titled “Front Bumper Options”- Standard bumper (pre-facelift and facelift)
- M-Sport (M-Tech II) bumper — more aggressive styling, popular upgrade
- ZHP bumper — M-Tech II with fog lights
Rear Bumper
Section titled “Rear Bumper”- Standard rear bumper with parking sensor provisions
- M-Sport rear bumper with diffuser styling
- ZHP rear bumper with quad exhaust cutouts
Removal
Section titled “Removal”- Remove wheel arch liner screws (front sections)
- Remove undertray screws
- Remove bumper-to-fender screws
- Disconnect fog lights and parking sensors
- Pull bumper cover forward/rearward
