- Recommended: 5W-30 or 0W-30
- Capacity: 6.5 liters with filter change
- Filter: Mann HU925/4x (or OE 11 41 7 837 131)
Oil Change Interval
Section titled “Oil Change Interval”- BMW recommendation: 15,000 miles
- Our recommendation: 7,500 miles or annually (whichever first)
Oil Pressure
Section titled “Oil Pressure”- At idle (warm): ~0.5 bar minimum
- At 3,000 RPM: ~3-4 bar
- Oil pressure warning light = immediate shutdown
