Installation
Section titled “Installation”- Remove center console trim
- Remove shift boot and knob
- Disconnect shift linkage at transmission
- Remove stock shifter assembly
- Install short shift kit following manufacturer instructions
- Reassemble in reverse
CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) Delete
Section titled “CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) Delete”The CDV is a hydraulic restrictor in the clutch line that slows clutch engagement for smoother shifts. Removing it gives direct, immediate clutch response.
Procedure
Section titled “Procedure”- Locate CDV on clutch hydraulic line (near transmission)
- Remove CDV and replace with straight connector fitting
- Bleed clutch system
- Adjust to faster engagement — requires gentler pedal input initially
